1. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files placed on your device when you visit a website. They let a site remember your actions and preferences (such as staying signed in) over time.
2. Our approach: essential cookies only
Koali uses only strictly necessary (essential) cookies. We do not use advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party behavioural analytics that share your data with advertisers.
Because we use only essential cookies — those required to deliver a service you have asked for, such as signing in — they do not require opt-in consent under PIPEDA or Quebec's Law 25. You are nonetheless informed of them here.
Analytics (cookieless): We use Vercel Web Analytics to understand aggregate usage such as page views and performance. It is privacy-friendly and does not use cookies: visitors are counted using a temporary hash derived from the request that resets every 24 hours. It collects no personal identifiers and cannot track you across other websites, so it does not change the cookie choices described here. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies of any kind.
